Mid-South Survey Research Center
The Mid-South Survey Research Center needed a clean and simple website that could provide both basic information about the center, as well as specific information about their services, projects, and publications. Their previous website's layout was inconsistent and difficult to navigate, and was inconsistent with current web standards. The main focus of the new design was to create a coherent, easy to navigate, and standards-compliant site.
MSRC Content Management System
The Mid-South Survey Research Center is constantly at work, and the site redesign required a system to update content quickly and easily without having to worry about formatting and markup. A Content Management System was designed specifically for the site, so that content could be added, updated, or removed from each section without worrying about the underlying HTML or CSS. The system processes the input using PHP, formats it to fit seamlessly in to the site, and saves it to a MySQL database.

The original version of this website was flash-based and contained only motion projects completed in 2007. It was meant to be eye-catching, but lacked the usability, accessibility, and presentation that the current rendition of the site contains. It was coded in ActionScript 3 and built in Flash CS3.
